Substance abuse among students manifests in many ways. Research indicates that students using substances are more prone to bullying or victimization. The correlation also extends to social withdrawal, with affected students displaying reduced engagement with peers. Further, substance abuse can derail academic ambitions, with students skipping classes and failing to complete assignments. Disruptive behaviour becomes more common, creating a challenging environment for both educators and peers.
